Alberta members – Standard markup rate will apply to all regular beer

All brewers, regardless of size and origin, will have the same markup rate of $1.25/L on all regular beer sold in Alberta, beginning Aug. 5. Regular beer has alcohol content of 11.9% or less.

This change only impacts the beer produced by small brewers in the New West Partnership regions of Alberta, B.C. and Saskatchewan. Products sold in Alberta from all other Canadian and international brewers are already marked up at the standard rate.

A revised liquor markup schedule will be available at aglc.ca. If you have any questions about these changes, please contact Alain Maisonneuve, Vice President of Liquor Services, at alain.maisonneuve@aglc.ca.
